This page details important information related to viewing, submitting information to, and transacting with this website.

The Ordering Process

Having selected the items that you wish to purchase, you will be asked to either login or register your email with a password. Alternatively you can choose to pay with PayPal Express Checkout.

Following this you will be asked to enter a delivery address for the items and an invoice address where your debit or credit card is registered. You will then be shown a confirmation page where we will show you the total costs including postage & packing and the delivery and billing address that you have entered. All items are inclusive of VAT where applicable.

After you have confirmed these details you will be asked to enter your card payment details or choose to pay via PayPal.If you elect to pay via PayPal you will be redirected to the PayPal site to confirm your PayPal details before being directed back to the Modern Gardener site. Following this you will be shown a summary of your order. Selecting the 'Place order' button will authorise your card for payment. If your card is authorised you will be shown an order confirmation page. Please note we will not charge your card until we ship your order. We will send you an email with details of your order.

We accept most major credit/debit cards including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Visa Delta, Visa Electron, Maestro and Solo. We also accept PayPal.

You will receive a further email when we have dispatched the order. Your credit card will be charged when your order is dispatched.

We reserve the right to refuse a transaction for any reason and at any time in the transaction process at our discretion. We reserve the right to remove or discontinue products and/or alter prices or content on this website at any time. We will endeavour to check the accuracy of any information on this Website, however we make no guarantees, whether express or implied in relation to its accuracy.

Please note that we currently only deliver to the United Kingdom, Europe and North America. Please inspect your delivery upon receipt.

We will endeavour to deliver your order as quickly as possible, however, all delivery times are estimated, and The Modern Gardener is not liable for failure to deliver within estimated delivery times.

Returns & Replacement Policy

We aim to offer the best quality products and to deliver them undamaged by providing high quality, reliable packaging. However, if you would like to return a product please refer to the following instructions:

Please inspect your delivery upon receipt. If you notice any damage to the items delivered, please contact us immediately and we will arrange a replacement or repair. We cannot accept damage claims that have not been declared to us within two days of delivery.

If the products are not to your satisfaction for any reason, please contact us within 8 days of receiving the delivery, expressing your wish to return the goods and detailing the products you would like to return. We will advise you of how to return the products, either a) we will arrange pick up of large items, or b) we will provide instructions on how to send the products back. Products should be returned in the original and undamaged packaging. We reserve the right to refund a reduced amount of the original price if the packaging is returned in a condition that does not allow us to resell at full price. Once we receive the products we will check that they are in a re-saleable condition, and refund your payment deducting return delivery costs if applicable.

Guarantees

We will honour manufacturer's guarantees where offered. These are usually one year. If you would like specific information please contact us.

Privacy is important to us and as such we do not hold credit card details and we will endeavour to keep all personal information secure.

You can sign up to our mailing list either by opting-in when registering or by sending us a request to be on the mailing list. We will limit our newsletters to a maximum of four times per calendar year.

Unless with your prior approval, we will never sell or distribute your personal information to third parties unrelated to processing your transaction.

Currency of transactions and Export Restrictions

We only accept payment for items in Pound Sterling. We currently only deliver to addresses within the United Kingdom, Europe and North America.

We are delighted to be contacted by companies with beautiful contemporary designer outdoor products that would contribute to our collection. Other product and service providers are requested to refrain from cold calling.
